lashes

before your appointment

arrive with clean lashes

Always show up to your appointment with clean lashes. Use a cleansing brush for soft and easy cleansing (available in store) or gently cleanse them. This assures that all your natural bodily oils, makeup, dust and debris are cleansed off. If your lashes are not squeaky clean, it's like trying to stick a sticker to a dusty window. It doesn't stick well. The cleaner your lashes are, the better your retention will be.

no caffeine

Do not drink caffeine prior to your lash appointment. Caffeine makes your eyes fluttery which makes it harder to place lashes and slows down the process. Fluttery eyes also allow fumes to sneak in that can cause chemical burns in your eye - aka when your eyes turn bright pink. To avoid all of this, save the latte for after your appointment!

use the bathroom

Use the bathroom before your appointment. Nothing is worse than feeling like your bladder is going to explode midway a lash set. It’s super uncomfortable and makes time feel like it’s passing 10x slower.

after your appointment

take care

The lash bond takes 24 hours to fully cure so it is important to avoid steam, sweating, extreme temperatures, and water during this time. Make-up remover, make-up, and facial products used around the eyes should be OIL FREE. Be gentle on them and avoid picking, pulling, rubbing or sleeping on your lashes. Be careful of high heat around your eyes such as the ovens, barbecues and smoke. And as always, oil, mascara and eyelash curlers are a no-no.

wash your lashes

Clean your lashes every day regardless if you wore make-up that day. Dirt, oil, and debris can build up on your lash line so cleansing your lashes is important for maintaining the health of your natural lashes and lash extensions. Simply Chic Beauty retails a lash cleanser for $15. It is tear free and gently cleanses in between each lash. Many of our clients have expressed how much longer their lashes last since using a lash cleanser! Allow extensions to air dry or blow dry after cleansing on the cool setting. Brush extensions when dry, NOT when wet.
